SoundSeeds

This month we are doing something a bit more experimental. Some forumites have planted some "audio seeds" and its up to us to make them grow into tracks. You can do whatever you want with the following clips. Use them as the basis for your track either litterally by sampling them or metaphorically by simply drawing inspiration from them. These are the ingredients, but it's up to you to come up with a finished recipe.

Here are the clips:

Listen?
Dot Matrix
noise
S T R I D E N T M E T A L
Taiwan Partidge
Bellisimo

Enter The Dot Matrix

I just took the one sample - the dotmatrix sound clip- and layered it like fury. Then individually effected each layer. This is pure experimentation - hardly music really, but fun to do.

I had a good time with this one, even though I'm late. I think it turned out really well, and I hope you guys rock out to it. Guess which seed(s) I used, and where! The usual suspects were used - PX-7, G2 Engine, Cubase SX 2.0, and a bunch of plugins, mostly free.

Hello every one, I just finished this track a few minutes ago. It last 3:19 minutes I hope you dont mind that, I used all samples given. I have 2 more tracks using the samples, one is almost finished and the other one needs more time to become ready, If it is posible I'll upload them too. Well I hope you find my track interesting it is a strange mix but sounds good to me. Have a great day

point seed

my first humble submission, and quite a departure from the types of music i normally work on. i'm actually quite happy with it, though the drums are probably going to go through some revisions, if not being totally yanked (they were an afterthought, as is probably apparent to the listener). the only sample i used from the seeds was the dotmatrix one. all of the sounds, save the drums, are created from it. lots of on the fly repitching, recorded in as many takes as there are tracks, went through a spotted cow (local beer) or two in the process... *hiccough*

Stay-ey

Incorporating the 6 soundclips in one Dnb/Trance piece. All the clips have been sped up and most are repeated more than once. I used Taiwan Partridge, Bellisimo and Dot Matrix as sort of melodic phrases, and Noise, Strident Metal and Listen as atonal sound fx. No story behind this piece except maybe an image of flying super partridges.
