The Monthly Mission was origianlly established in March of 2004 by members of the Harmony Central Keys, Synths, and Samplers Forum (HC/KSS) in an effort to foster creativity, productivity and a sense of community among webfaring musicians.

The experiment proved to be more successful then we had hoped, and the project has been attracting innovative music for over two and a half years. The flexible format and democratic process have allowed the project to evolve over time to keep things interesting.

Currently, the project is in a period of transition, and is drawing participants from communities other than HC KSS. This was the primary motivation for moving the site to it's own domain. We're excited to see the community growing - if you're not a member yet, jump in on the next round!
